Getting Started
Up and running in two minutes.
EthosBar has no onboarding flow, no account creation, and no dashboard. Download it, open it, and it works. The steps below are the whole process.
Install
Download the latest .zip below, unzip it, and drag EthosBar.app into your /Applications folder. Launch it — the icon appears in your menu bar instantly.

· macOS 14.0 Sonoma or later
· Apple Silicon or Intel Mac
· ~16 MB disk space
Activate Pro
Click the EthosBar icon in your menu bar to open the popover. Navigate to Settingsusing the sidebar — the crown icon at the bottom. You'll see your current plan — Free, Trial, or Pro — at the top of the Settings tab.
If you purchased Pro but haven't activated yet, continue to step 3.
Enter your license key
After purchasing, Polar emails your license key. It looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. In the Pro tab, click “Have a license key?”, paste it in, and hit Activate. Pro unlocks immediately — no restart needed.
Common issues
Key says 'invalid' but I just bought it.
Wait 30 seconds and try again — the webhook that creates the key fires after payment completes and can take a moment.
Key says 'already activated on another device'.
Each key is tied to one device. If you reinstalled macOS or switched Macs, contact support to reset the binding.
I lost my key email.
Log into your Polar account at polar.sh — all your orders and keys are listed under your purchases.
